Yesterday afternoon, Christine spotted about 35 American White Pelicans in Bear Valley Springs. They were circling on a thermal over the valley, gradually moving east.

According to the TMBC Checklist, they are casual in spring - not seen annually, not present in summer, and rare (seldom seen) in fall.
